UKRDA unveils new logo!

Posted on February 3, 2011 by UKRDA Admin

After much discussion, the UKRDA is finally ready to unveil its new logo.

Designed by joint winners Jason Ruffell, www.roller-derby-on-film.co.uk (contact@roller-derby-on-film.co.uk) and Erin Lynn (clobberella9@yahoo.com), we feel this logo is both simple and powerful; and clearly represents our organisation’s personality.

We would like to thank all the competition entrants, there were so many great designs that it was a difficult task (which is why it took us longer than expected to select the winner!).

Keep an eye on our website as we will be updating it very soon.

Thanks to everyone who submitted a logo in the competition – we have a fantastic selection to work through. The competition is now closed and we are going through a consultation process with member leagues to select the winner.

UKRDA Logo Competition

Posted on September 17, 2010 by UKRDA Admin

The UKRDA is holding a logo design competition and are seeking entries from the UK roller derby community.

The winning entry will become a key part of the UKRDA’s branding and we are looking for a logo which reflects the personality of our sport and mission.

OUR MISSION
The UKRDA exists to lobby for and promote the sport of roller derby in the UK. We aim to help drive the growth, expertise and recognition of the sport, whilst supporting and encouraging our members to develop and grow individually into strong, athletic leagues who are empowered in all that they do.

The design must:

* contain the name of UKRDA in a font treatment
* be easily legible
* be easily reproduced – all submissions should include both a simple colour version (no more than 3 colour) as well as a black and white version. All versions should be able to be used on both a dark and a light background.
* be available as CMYK and RGB, and must be vector illustration.

Our brand personality is:
* Strong
* Athletic
* Inclusive
* Professional
* Modern
* SIMPLE not fussy
* Democratic

HOW TO ENTER
If you think you’ve got the artistic chops to represent the most exciting and fastest growing sport in the UK, then complete the google form below and send in your design to info@ukrda.org.uk by MIDNIGHT ON NOVEMBER 5th 2010.

If we choose your design, you must agree that all rights to the logo become the property of the UKRDA, but we will credit you with the original design. And you will get lots of derby love. Promise!

***competion closed, entry form removed***
