England Roller Derby Management

UKRDA are delighted to announce the England Roller Derby management and coaches ahead of the upcoming team selection. In our fist announcement we’re delighted to share the new Team Manager and Head Coach.

Taking on the role of Team Manager, we have Claire McAllister. Claire joined Big Bucks High Rollers two and a half years ago, and has worked tirelessly to attain her current position of Team Captain. She may be born on April 1st but her approach to England Roller Derby is a serious affair.

She is incredibly honoured to be voted into the position of Team Manager for England Roller Derby, and is looking forward to working alongside the coaching staff, providing support and resources that will help build and develop a core group of skaters into a strong and impenetrable team that will lead England into the 2017 World Cup.

In the position of Head Coach is Southern Discomfort skater, Illbilly. He’s made the Men’s England Team two selections running; skating with the premier men’s team in the UK and Europe, he’s bringing the skills from the men’s game, along with his international competition experience to push England Roller Derby forward. He is looking forward to “building and working with a squad of the most talented skaters, which will be incredibly rewarding. In an ever changing landscape England Roller Derby has always cemented itself at the highest level, I can’t wait to help the new team to have the success it deserves. The first task will be tryouts and when these are set then this new and incredibly exciting journey can begin.”

Congratulations both on your roles and we look forward to sharing the rest of the management team with you very soon!
